I know without a doubt that God is much stronger than Satan is. The story in Moses 1 comes to my mind. It is the story when Moses speaks face to face with God and then Satan tries to tempt him also;
1 The words of God, which he
a unto Moses at a time when Moses was caught up into an exceedingly high
b,
2 And he
a God
b, and he
c with him, and the
d of God was upon Moses; therefore Moses could endure his presence.
3 And God spake unto Moses, saying: Behold, I am the Lord God
a, and
b is my
c; for I am without beginning of days or end of years; and is not this endless?
4 And, behold, thou art my son; wherefore
a, and I will show thee the
b of mine
c; but not all, for my
d are without
e, and also my
f, for they never cease.
5 Wherefore, no man can behold all my
a, except he behold all my
b; and no man can
c all my
d, and afterwards remain in the flesh on the earth.
6 And I have a work for thee, Moses, my son; and thou art in the
a of mine
b c; and mine Only Begotten is and shall be the
d, for he is full of
e and
f; but there is
g God beside me, and all things are present with me, for I
h them all.
7 And now, behold, this one thing I show unto thee, Moses, my son, for thou art in the world, and now I show it unto thee.
8 And it came to pass that Moses looked, and beheld the
a upon which he was created; and Moses
b the world and the ends thereof, and all the children of men which are, and which were created; of the same he greatly
c and wondered.
9 And the
a of God withdrew from Moses, that his
b was not upon Moses; and Moses was left unto himself. And as he was left unto himself, he
c unto the earth.
10 And it came to pass that it was for the space of many hours before Moses did again receive his natural
a like unto man; and he said unto himself: Now, for this cause I know that
b is
c, which thing I never had supposed.
11 But now mine own eyes have
a God; but not my
b, but my
c eyes, for my
d eyes could not have
e; for I should have
f and
g in his presence; but his
h was upon me; and I beheld his
i, for I was
j before him.
12 And it came to pass that when Moses had said these words, behold,
a came
b him, saying: Moses, son of man, worship me.
13 And it came to pass that Moses looked upon Satan and said: Who art thou? For behold, I am a
a of God, in the similitude of his Only Begotten; and where is thy
b, that I should worship thee?
14 For behold, I could not look upon God, except his
a should come upon me, and I were transfigured before him. But I
b look upon thee in the natural man. Is it not so, surely?
15 Blessed be the name of my God, for his
a hath not altogether withdrawn from me, or else where is thy glory, for it is darkness unto me? And I can judge between thee and God; for God said unto me:
b God, for him only shalt thou
c.
16 Get thee hence, Satan; deceive me not; for God said unto me: Thou art after the
a of mine Only Begotten.
17 And he also gave me commandments when he
a unto me out of the burning
b, saying:
c upon God in the name of mine Only Begotten, and worship me.
18 And again Moses said: I will not cease to call upon God, I have other things to inquire of him: for his
a has been upon me, wherefore I can judge between him and thee.
b hence, Satan.
19 And now, when Moses had said these words,
a cried with a loud voice, and ranted upon the earth, and commanded, saying: I am the
b, worship me.
20 And it came to pass that Moses began to
a exceedingly; and as he began to fear, he saw the bitterness of
b. Nevertheless,
c upon God, he received
d, and he commanded, saying: Depart from me, Satan, for this one God only will I worship, which is the God of
e.
21 And now Satan began to tremble, and the earth shook; and Moses received strength, and called upon God, saying: In the name of the Only Begotten,
a hence,
b.
22 And it came to pass that Satan cried with a loud voice, with weeping, and wailing, and
a of teeth; and he departed hence, even from the presence of Moses, that he beheld him not.
23 And now of this thing Moses bore record; but because of
a it is
b had among the children of men.
24 And it came to pass that when Satan had departed from the presence of Moses, that Moses lifted up his eyes unto heaven, being filled with the
a, which beareth record of the Father and the Son;
25 And calling upon the name of God, he beheld his
a again, for it was upon him; and he heard a
b, saying: Blessed art thou, Moses, for I, the Almighty, have
c thee, and thou shalt be made stronger than many
d; for they shall obey thy
e as if thou wert
f.
26 And lo, I am a, even unto the end of thy days;
Many times this happens to us also and we have to always keep calling upon God and he will help us.
I know that us, sons and daughters of God on the Earth, have right now and always will have more power than Satan, when he comes, if we plead for the help of the Lord, I promise that the help will come.
I love you so much Mom.
This week has been so great and I am trying hard to learn even more and to look for miracles with our ward! We are trying so hard to be obedient and to ask for heaven sent help.
To start, we went bowling this week with our zone and it was so fun! my score was 50..... ha that is not really important because we had a blast.
1. The name of my companion is Elder Melvin Campos, and he is from Peru, and is on eof the best missionaries in the mission. I am not lying that every day when we have training I learn something new form him. Sometimes I ask myself.. Is he the trainer or am I the trainer? because, I am sure I am learning more than he is. I really love him.
The mission this week has been great. Elder Campos and I have been working so much with Noelia, her baptism is set for this Friday and she is so excited. Yesterday we visited her with the first counselor in our ward named Brother Rodriguez. He is literally a spiritual giant and has so much love for everyone. During the lesson Brother Rodriguez started to bear his testimony, the spirit was so strong. I felt at that moment that I never wanted to leave. I know Noelia felt the spirit and it was such great preperation for her to have coming up to her baptism. We are trying so hard to have the support of the ward and to always have a member with us when we visit her.
If you can it would be great to have a couple of prayers from all of you to help us be more bold with the members so that we can ask for more of their help, that would be so great.
I know the church is true and that if we focus in every moment how can we help establish the Lord's kingdom we will be happy and I know that Christ is our savior. Please remember that only through the doctrine of Christ(2 nephi 31;17-21) can we return to God! Love you all so much. And remember SWABH, don't lose your smile!!! and I love you all
